Projects You are about to enter the Turbo! Team Europe performance zone. Here, members will show you what they have done to their cars to make them go faster, handle and brake better and be better matched to the individual's taste and driving habits. They will also update you on their progress on current projects, so you can learn from their experiences and mistakes and watch Saabs being transformed into massive road burners with huge attitude. If you have done cool mods to your Saab that you think are worthwhile to do for others please let us know, so that we can put them on these pages. If you are working on a project right now, be sure to take pictures so other turbo Saabers can see how it is done.

Here are a few DIY highlights of Project Saabine, Eric van Spelde's '85 900T. How to build a 5th fuel injector and water injection system, a turbo system upgrade using intake pipes from a later 900T16 and a watercooled turbo from a 9000, turbo dump valve installation and much more.
Paul Ellis installed some crossdrilled brake discs from Accelerated Response on his '93 9000 Aero. Here's the lowdown, and of course, what it looks like. Yummy.
If you have a Classic 900 with automatic transmission, there's not much you can do in the way of performance modifications because the old three-speed Borg Warner gearbox can just about cope with the stock output of a Saab Turbo engine. It's not that much fun to drive either, compared to a five-speed manual. Don't despair: here's an elaborate 'how-to' guide on converting your automatic 900 to a manual gearbox.
