Project Management Tool - Controlling a stage/managing stage boundaries

Controlling a stage/Managing stage boundaries
Much to the disappointment of start trek fans project phases are not those cute, trendy looking hand held blasters that can be used to transform your opponents into a cloud of cosmic dust particles. A project phase, or stage, is something that must be gone through. Like the sound barrier, it is also accompanied by loud noises (the disgruntled moans and wailed objections of the project sposors).

The best advice we can give you here is to find someone with the standard number of fingers on each hand (ie not from Wales) and get them to remind you that phase two follows phase one, phase three follows phase two and so on. Alternately use a random phase number generator. So long as you have lots of serially numbered phases and you don't forget to count them off in the right order, you will be thought of as extremely smart and talented. If you want to be really clever you can discuss the interdependence of the phases and even illustrate them. It's quite simple really, it just involves drawing lines that randomly link up to different bits of GANTT charts (see RGCG button).
