We arrived in time for Diwali, a 5-day festival that rings in the Hindu New Year.
Everybody was decorating their houses, stores and even busses in celebration.

Complimenting the bus driver and ticket taker on their "most beautiful bus", they both smiled proudly:  "We decorated our bus in honour of the Goddess Lakshmi.
She presides over not just money, but the wealth of the heart, friendship and family," replied the chauffer.
