Introducing Environmental MedicineHome Page as a brand new Internet-based online service designed for those working in the field of environmental medicine. The Dutch Association of Environmental Medicine does not have the financial nor human resources to act as a clearinghouse in environmental medicine. This page will however try to be a link to those organisations that can answer most of the relevant issues in environmental medicine.
There are many information sources available on the topic of health in relation to the environment. But there are also a lot of missing links in our knowledge on the relation between an environmental factor and a disease or a health complaint. About most chemical compounds we have hardly any knowledge on their working mechanism. The Dutch Association of Environmental Medicine will work on facilitating the availability of the knowledge that is somewhere. In the WWW there are many browsers to be used to look for information on certain topics. But there is a lot of knowledge hidden in the "grey literature". This paragraph will give some links to useful information on certain topics. But remember this part will be under construction for a long time. The main areas are: , NVMM, ISDE, associations and institutes, other health and environment topics. As this homepage is dealing with environmental medicine it will only supply links to sources that have information within that framework.
