October 24th 1995: Old Bitch Warrior (Belgium).
Fall/Winter 1995: Rock In The Road and Something Warm singles (Belgium).
January 8th 1996: Old Bitch Warrior (Netherlands).
Early 1996: Ballerina supposedly a single (Netherlands) (??).
Summer 1996: Unchained Melanie (VTM ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY - 2347). Orders through the fanclub or Wilma van Gend (see FAQ). Probably sold out now.
November 26th 1996: Her Greatest Hits Live & New released in Europe (Laserlight digital nr. 24 337). The CD mistakenly says the Live In Belgium recordings were recorded in 1992; they are from 1994 or 1995. Tracks 1-10 of CD 1 are also available on the Silver Anniversary CD. The CD can be ordered from weborder@deltamusic.com or Delta Music GMBH; Europaallee 59; Frechen, Germany; 50226.
January 1997: Four Sides Of Melanie - Wooded Hills UK; 21 of 23 tracks from excellent source. Superior sound mix. Single CD.
March 1997: The Mike Heron 'Reputation' album which was released on Neighborhood and was largely produced by Peter has been released on C.D. in the U.K. in 1996. There are two songs on it with many providing background vocals.
April 1997: Disky Ltd. has just released a single CD from the Silver Anniversary collection entitled UNPLUGGED (Disky Communications Europe B.V. 1997; Courtesy of Janus Records Inc., by arrangement with Celebrity Licensing Inc.; DC 879982). It includes 16 tracks, and they've picked a sample of nice tracks for this single CD from the 28 tracks available
July 28th 1997: LOWCOUNTRY was finally released. It is a limited edition, packed in a vinyl slipcase with just a picture and no booklet.
October 6th 1997: 'On Air' is the title of the CD with BBC recordings which was released on Strangefruit. Tracks 1 to 10 are from 6th November 1975 (in concert), 11 to 14 are from 15th September 1969 (in session) and 15 to 18 from 26th April 1989 (in session).
November 15th: Antlers was released.
December: Acoustic Blue - The Very Best of Melanie (LaserLight 12 822, Delta Music Inc.)

Misc

*The August 1996 issue of Q magazine features a short review of Old Bitch Warrior - although some mistakes are made ("it's Melanie's first release in 16 years"), it's quite a positive review, and the album gets 3 stars (out of 5).

*Melanie's daughter Leilah Schekeryk-Bark gave birth to a 6 pound 8 ounces baby girl Sunday November 10th 1996 at 5.53 am and her name is Christiana Safka Bark. Congratulations can be sent to the fanclub address.

*After some negotiations, Melanie and Peter made a deal with an organization called The Internet Wall of Clearwater, Florida. The Internet Wall is a PC-based, 3-D virtual reality web page using cutting edge technology. They will feature "Melanie World", a place that will have audio/video bites focusing on Melanie's career. According to Patti, even though it is still in its infancy stage, it is awesome! From what I understand, they will be handling all of Melanie's CD/cassette sales. *Melanie's Brand New Key to be featured in upcoming movie The Boogie Nights which was released on September 6. Watch for the soundtrack on Capitol Records (From: Terry Gamper )

*In The Netherlands, Sunday 26th of October from 14.00-1600 Radio 2 featured two live songs plus an interview which Melanie did the afternoon before the Tagrijn gig in Hilversum. *Also in The Netherlands, Beautiful People is used for an insurance company TV ad. The song was rerecorded and sung by Dutch vocalist Mathilde Santing. The single of the same song was released early October.

*On January 9th 1998, Dutch Television featured a song Melanie did in December. The show is "Het Gevoel Van..." and was broadcast on Nederland 1 from 9-10pm.
