Custom build timing system

My name is Alex de Kloet and I have build my own lap counting and timekeeping hardware and software that can be used on any slot car track. The hardware is of very simple design. The software was/is written in Quick basic 4.5 and is download able from this site. It's freeware you can do with it what you want. Contributions are also on this page aswell as Slot tips.

Feel free to email me about this program ect...

Have fun Racing and Timing.

Alex

SplitSecond Version 7 SlotCar Timing Software  Updated 11 Jan. 1999  Beta

NEW * SplitSecond Versions Modified by Slotcar fans downloadable here * NEW (last modified 1 march 2001)

SplitSecond French version : French Version

SplitSecond 4 Banen / 4 Lanes : 4 banen/ 4 Lanes Version

Splitsecond 4 Lanes French version (13 march 2000), modified and optimized by Eric Durusell, looks very
nice, thanks Eric ! If anybody wants/can translate this version to English and sent it to
me i would appriciate it very much !! Well start downloading this version <here>

Splitsecond by Eric Durusell, version 7 August 2000, with demo slot41.exe, the program is slot4.exe.
Download it here, slot41new.zip.

Dan Mosgaard's Software 4lanes : 4 lane basic Software, Look at   Dan's Tech Site for hardware details.

Tom Wentura from germany also worked on a slot timing system in TurboPascal the Version 1.2
you can download right here : Tom Wentura's Timing Software including source !

January 2000-Chris Moellering edited source code for HO use in the US. Anglicized the menus, cosmetic changes. Changed lap speed to scale (1/64) miles per hour. Deleted points for fastest average lap as this is redundant to winning in most concevable cases. Fixed bug that gave fastest start points to car if it didn't start in time (for 2-driver race). Changed default parallel port values to reflect simple hardware. Download here ! Version 8.01

August 2000 Eric Durusell releases new version with a new and improved hall of fame, there are now more then
one, so you can have a diffrent hall of fame for each catagory, like F1, rally, proto ect..
Check it out here : August 2000 Erics version.

October 2000 Carsten Zschage made a German version of Splitsecond, he translated it to German, and he added some very nice features, this version should be able to drive real starting lights made out of LED's, it should also be posible to control the power to the track from the program. Carsten only sent me the .BAS files and no hardware description, for me not such a problem, but for some of you who don't have much electronics experience i asked him to sent a small text file with some hardware pointers in it. When i get it from him I will put it online. To download the Carsten Version click here...

Carsten can be just as fast as his slotcars :-), i got some information from him about the hardware connections on the lights ect...
Look at this.

Let me know if you find bugs !!
04 Dec. Working on the multiple driver version. In this version it will be possible
to race with two, three or four drivers on a two lane track. It uses points
to determine the winner. 2 points for best average time per heat, 3 points
for fastest lap per heat, 12 points for winning the race.
I will be releasing a Beta of this version in the next week or so.

a false start will set you back 1 lap ! The fastest start time
will give you 2 points. Made some other minor changes.
Version 7 has arrived, i had problems compiling the program because
the code segment exceeded 64K. I had to split up the program in
             two modules :
             second7.bas
             secmod1.bas
The .mak file in the zip file is used by QB4.5 to link the two modules
together. The only version now up on the web in version 7 Beta.
Please report bugs ect.. to me by mail. Thanks.
