HOW-TO  Install SplitSecond version 0.1  24 Dec. 1998


1. Download second7.zip from http://web.inter.nl.net/users/dekloet/slot.htm
2. create a new directory (folder) and name it f.i. Second
3. put the zip file into that directory
4. unzip the zip file using pkunzip or winzip into the same directory.

The directory should contain 14 files from the zip file and the zipfile itself.

5. now start the program in a dos box under win95, or reboot your computer
    press F8 when you see win95 starting, you will get a menu, from that chose
    "command prompt only"
6. you will now be in DOS mode.
7. from c:\> type "cd second"
8. you should see c:\second>
9. type "second7" and the program should start with no errors.
10. find the menu "F1" you can only access that when you answer the question and are in the
     race screen.
11. from the menu chose test parallel port settings.
12. now trigger your hardware and you should see the number change. trigger lane 1 trigger lane2
and trigger both. record the number and set these in the menu by chosing "first time init"
