- The most ideal area is the Carian coast where these ships originate from, plus the adjacent waters of the Ionian and the Lycian coast and the Greek waters of the Dodecanese. In these beautiful regions you will find 80% of all the yachts, more choice and usually considerably cheaper, superior gulets.
Therefore, concentrate on charter bases like Kos, Rhodes, Bodrum, Marmaris, Fethiye, Gocek, etc.
- It is rarely possible to rent a cabin charter on the more luxurious gulets. Often the only option is a full charter (also called private charter), which means that you charter the whole ship. Yet, this give you absolute freedom in what and when to see or do, plus what the chef cook could prepare for you!
