INN -- InterNetNews

INN is supported by the Internet Software Consortium, a nonprofit coproration.

A major release 2.3 is out now and a lot of things are changed compared to the previous versions. In my documentation I tried to make it clear. However, changes to INN are made every day and I can no longer keep up with them as well as I would wish, therefore the documentation may be somewhat outdated. Please let me know if you notice any serious problems.

These documents are meant for beginners who only start in the news business. The Cookbook helps to choose the most suitable architecture, the Architecture Guide describes some most common ones to give an idea of how things fit together in each of them, and the Implementation Guide is in fact a How-To that answers questions like "How do I make this group moderated?". The actual How-To is an older document that contains some of the information from the other ones and is only interesting if you are dealing with an INN version prior to 2.3.

Other documents referenced in these ones (such as Readme and Install ) are a part of the distribution already.

Sources are in POD, diagrams in XFig.

constructive comment:
Don't assert "Your How-To sucks!" but explain why it sucks and suggest improvements.
