Barranco de Sandaruelo
Vanuit het dal van de Rio Ara en San Nicolas de Bujaruelo (1538 m) kan de Col de la Bernatoire (2393 m) via het dal van de Sandaruelo. Verlaat op tijd het pad dat naar de Port de Boucharo loopt, en steek de Barranco Lapazosa over. Al snel raak je het eigenlijke pad kwijt in een wirwar van geitepaadjes. Het is het best om op kompas de op de kaart aangegeven route te volgen, zoveel mogelijk links langs de waaier van beekjes die het komdal instromen. De klim is uiterst vermoeiend. Op 2250 m duikt weer een pad op dat via een traverse naar de col leidt.
From the Rio Ara valley and San Nicolas de Bujaruelo (1538 m) one can reach the Col de la Bernatoire (2393 m) via the Sandaruelo valley. Leave the track heading for Port de Boucharo in time, cross the Barranco Lapazosa. Soon one the path is lost between numerous cattle trails. It is best to use your compass continue in the direction indicated on the map. Stay to the left of the numerous streams running into the valley. The climb is quite streneous. At about 2250 m a path pops up, which makes a traverse for the col.
