Rio Ara / Aiguilles du Chabarrou (2330 / 2800m)
De Rio Ara "ontspringt" in een komdal, waarboven de Aiguilles du Chabarrou uitrijzen, en start zijn weg naar San Nicolas de Bujaruelo. De HRP kruist dit dal, en verbindt de Col d'Arratille met de Col des Mulets. Deze laatste ligt, net niet zichtbaar, rechtsboven in de foto. Een stukje stroomafwaarts kan ook de Collado de Letrero kan vanuit dit dal worden beklommen.
The Rio Ara rises from a little cirque, formed by the Aiguilles du Chabarrou, starting its way to San Nicolas de Bujaruelo. The HRP crosses this valley, connecting the Col d'Arratille and the Col des Mulets. The latter lies, just out of sight, in the upper right corner of the photo. A little bit more downstream the Collado de Letrero can also be climbed from this valley.
