Port du Marcadau (2488m)
Een goed pad loopt van Ref. Wallon naar de Port du Marcadau (2541m, 2.5 uur). De afdaling naar het Embalse de Bachimano is iets lastiger. Na het passeren van het meer juist onder de col, loop je het "dal" van de Barranco del Canal in. De beek niet volgen, want dit wordt uiteindelijk te steil. Net na het meer loopt het pad naar rechts de rotsen in, enigzins omhoog. Na een lastig begin, met enig gezoek (af en toe een steenman) wordt het pad naar beneden steeds duidelijker.
An easy path heads from Ref. Wallon to the Port du Marcadau (2541m, 2.5 hrs). The descent to the Embalse de Bachimano is less easy. Having passed the lake just below the col, one enters the "valley" of the Barranco del Canal. Don't stick to the brook, because eventually it becomes very steep. a little beyond the lake the path leaves the valley, bending to the right over some rocks, slightly climbing. After a difficult start, requiring some path finding skills (the odd cairn might help), the path to the valley becomes obvious.
