A little maid shows restlessness. Her ghost rises from a well. Okiku counts valuable dishes of Dutch porcelain and whines when number ten appears to be missing.

It is unclear how she got in the well. She committed suicide or was murdered after a plate was broken. Her weeping disturbed people. When she was counting one evening and reached nine, an exorcist shouted "Ten!" Her soul found rest. She began to live a quiet life with the other ghosts in the neighbourhood. Nowadays the well stands on the grounds of the Canadian embassy (Sinister Designs).
