These stamps were released in sheets of 50 stamps: 5 x 10. There were several perforations possible:

The design was taken from a plaque over the entrance to one of the platforms of Haarlem station.
The orange-yellow stamps were sold at the railway stations and the red ones were for the "Van Gend En Loos" distribution and transport centres.

The inner frame border of the stamp picture shows square angles, whereas all former releases had rounded angles.
